Job Title: Project Design Engineer for Municipal Group
About the Job: Rii, a rapidly growing civil engineering firm is seeking a Civil Design Engineer with at least 4 years of experience in design of municipal water and sanitary sewer engineering, roadway and site development projects. The position entails performing design and plan production.
Qualification and Experience
A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering
Ability to become a Registered Professional Engineer in Ohio within two years
Previous project design (utility, grading, site design, and storm and sanitary sewer systems) experience desired
Strong knowledge of and experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D software packages and Microstation and Geopak/InRoads
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work and lead in a team environment
Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments, work in an environment to learn quickly, take initiative and interact with a variety of people located in Indiana and other Rii offices
Candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects (civil/site and water resources)
Prepare plans, specifications, and detailed design drawings
Attend both internal project meetings and client meetings
Perform design calculations and conduct investigation analysis toward completion of assigned design tasks, and direct preparation of design specifications
Perform quantity estimates, detailing and check calculations and drawings
Organize scheduling of specific tasks and assignments.
